Sillaton Farm Stables is a BHS approved livery yard located near Plymouth in Cornwall. The yard sits within the South West region and offers full, part, assisted and DIY livery packages, giving owners a choice of how much hands-on help they receive with their horses. Holiday cover and transport to competitions are also available, alongside horsebox and trailer hire for those who need to get to events further afield.
The American barn stabling provides sheltered accommodation for the horses, and the yard is set up for both daily routines and competition preparation. Clients have access to a floodlit sand and rubber school measuring 60 metres by 30 metres, fitted with show jumps for schooling sessions. A 6 furlong grass gallop offers space for faster work, and the sand school is available to hire for those wanting extra practice time. Disciplines on site focus on hacking, pleasure rides and show jumping, and the team runs in-house and open competitions as well as fun days throughout the year.
Off-road hacking is a key feature of the property, with extensive routes leading directly from the yard. Riders can build up fitness on the grass gallop before heading out, and a Claydon horsewalker and wash box support everyday care. Horses are turned out in fenced 2 acre paddocks, and owners benefit from practical additions including a refreshment kitchen, a TV lounge, changing facilities and horsebox or trailer parking on site.
Sillaton Farm Stables is listed on the British Horse Society approved register, offering reassurance about standards of care and management. The postcode for the yard is PL12 6PX. Anyone interested in livery, sand school hire, schooling or competition preparation is encouraged to contact the yard directly to discuss availability and arrange a visit.
