Horse Riding Cornwall Poldice Valley Equine and Events Arena is based at Carharrack, near Redruth in Cornwall. Lessons are available as group, semi-private or private sessions, with separate provision for children and adults. Beginners are accepted alongside more established riders, and the school runs group classes that are linked to the Pony Club as an approved centre.
The teaching programme covers flatwork and show jumping, with instruction suited to riders working through Pony Club levels, returning after a break, or starting out for the first time. The school also delivers the Changing Lives Through Horses programme and alternative provision, giving younger and less experienced riders a structured route into horsemanship. Arena hire is offered separately for those who already have a horse and need a venue to school or jump.
The site combines a 40 metre surfaced outdoor arena, a British Show jumping approved grass arena and a floodlit indoor arena, allowing lessons and schooling to continue in poor weather or during the darker winter months. A spectators gallery and sound system are fitted, which is useful during events and competitions. Practical facilities include a car park, toilets, ramp access and an on-site cafe for riders and visitors.
Horse Riding Cornwall holds accreditation with the Association of British Riding Schools, Ofsted and the British Horse Society, where it is rated highly commended and appears on the BHS approved register. The Pony Club approved centre status is confirmed by the school itself. Opening hours are Monday to Friday and Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00, with Sundays available by appointment. The postcode is TR16 5RB, with contact details and booking information listed on the school's website.
