Potsford Farm operates as a working care farm and BHS approved livery yard set within 200 acres of Suffolk countryside close to Woodbridge. The yard keeps a clear focus on horse care and livery services rather than ridden tuition, and does not offer riding lessons. Owners and riders can choose from Full, Assisted or Assisted DIY livery packages, with an additional option for exercising, clipping and care farming support.
Disciplines catered for include carriage driving, hacking and show jumping, supported by a range of on-site facilities. Horses are housed in 12x12 stables fitted with rubber matting, and there is a secure tack room, rug storage and a feed room. The outdoor arena is floodlit for year-round use and is fitted with show jumps, while individual turnout paddocks allow horses time out in the field. A hot shower, toilet and shower facilities, a tool shed and lorry or trailer parking complete the practical setup.
The setting suits liveries needing a quiet, rural location with countryside hacking straight from the yard, as well as clients interested in the social and therapeutic side of the care farm work. Potsford Farm also holds accreditation with Social Farms and Gardens and is a Suffolk County Council accredited care farm alongside its British Horse Society approved status.
Livery enquiries are handled by the Yard Manager between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. The farm is located in Woodbridge, Suffolk, in the IP13 postcode area. Assistance with professional visits is available, and the team can support owners with day-to-day horse care as part of the assisted packages.
