Forest Lodge Holidays at Little Lodge Farm in Brandon is set up specifically for horse owners who want to bring their own horses on holiday. The site combines self-catering log cabin and camping accommodation with a working DIY livery yard, so guests and their horses can stay in the same place. It is listed on the British Horse Society approved register.
Guests have access to stabling, paddocks and direct hacking onto Thetford Forest from the site. An outdoor arena is available and can be hired from GBP 25 for a 55 minute session, with a park and ride service also offered for those wanting to explore the surrounding area. Winter breaks are available alongside standard stays, giving riders a chance to escape to quieter months on the forest.
Accommodation on site includes log cabins, a camping field and a caravan site, with shared toilets and shower facilities, a bar and parking. The set up suits riders travelling with their own horses who are comfortable organising their own stable management, as well as those simply looking for a forest base with hacking on the doorstep. Disciplines centre on hacking, with the surrounding tracks and forest rides forming the main attraction.
