Pakefield Riding School has operated as a British Horse Society approved centre in Lowestoft for many years, providing riding tuition, hacking and beach rides from its Suffolk coastal base. The school teaches riders of all ages and abilities, with structured lessons for complete beginners through to more experienced riders working on dressage, pole work, lunging, classical riding, vaulting and working equitation. Stable management is also taught alongside ridden work.
The centre runs pony mornings and pony parties for younger riders, together with holiday camps during school breaks. Riding for the Disabled sessions are a regular part of the timetable, reflecting the school's membership of the Riding for the Disabled Association and its accessible facilities. A wheelchair-accessible viewing gallery allows spectators and family members to watch lessons and sessions in comfort, while a team of qualified instructors supervises all groups.
Facilities include both an indoor arena and an outdoor arena, allowing lessons to continue in poor weather and providing space for flatwork, jumping and pole exercises. Hacking routes take riders out along local lanes and onto the nearby beach, making the most of the Lowestoft coastline. The school is also a member of the Association of British Riding Schools.
Riding holidays and riding experiences are offered alongside the core lesson programme, giving visitors the chance to spend longer periods at the stables. The centre is located at NR33 0ND in the East of England, near the seafront at Pakefield on the southern edge of Lowestoft. Anyone interested in booking lessons, an RDA session, a beach ride, a pony party or a riding holiday should contact the school directly for current availability, prices and lesson times.
