Hall Farm Stables

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

BHS approved

Hall Farm Stables runs as a small, British Horse Society approved riding school and livery yard set across a 35-acre site in Waterbeach, just north of Cambridge. Lessons are offered from complete beginner through to Prix St-Georges, with dressage forming the core of the teaching programme. Riders can also take part in cross country, show jumping and hacking, giving the school a balanced programme that covers schooling, competition preparation and pleasure riding.

The school welcomes children and adults, and holds Pony Club centre status as well as the Riding for the Disabled Association accessibility mark. Private lessons, group lessons and pony days are available, and an apprenticeship pathway with NVQ courses is offered for those pursuing a vocational route into the industry. Dressage and jumping clinics and dressage competitions are held on site, with riding trips also arranged.

Facilities include two outdoor arenas, a 20x25m arena with judges' box and a 20x60m arena, both floodlit and built with all-weather surfaces. There are six stables, hard standing gateways and walkways throughout the yard, and extensive grazing including track grazing for the benefit of horses on retirement livery. Hacking is available directly from the site. Full and part livery are offered alongside retirement livery for horses no longer in work.

The yard is located in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire, postcode CB25 9NJ. Lesson times run from Wednesday to Sunday, with extended hours midweek. Pony lessons for Pony Club members start from GBP 30 per lesson. Visitors are encouraged to contact the school directly for current lesson availability and livery enquiries.
