Bartlow Equestrian is a family-run riding school and equestrian centre set in Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire. The yard holds approval from the British Horse Society, listed as highly commended on the BHS approved register, and is also ABRS approved. It operates seven days a week from 9am to 6pm, with later hours available by prior arrangement.
The centre runs group lessons and lead rein lessons for beginners, alongside lessons on a rider's own horse, hacks and home education days. Pony days, pony parties and holiday camps are available throughout the year, with in-house shows held on site. Bartlow Equestrian also offers SEND and disabled riding, making the centre accessible to a wide range of riders. Entry-level experiences start at GBP 20 for a 20 minute pony ride. Hacking and show jumping form the two main disciplines taught at the yard.
Facilities include a fully lit indoor arena, an outdoor arena with floodlights, a heated wash box and indoor barn stables. A jumping field is open during the summer months and a lunge pen is available. Riders can make use of a full set of show jumps, including jump for joy jumps and fillers. A CCTV system covers the yard, and all year turnout is provided. The on-site feed shop is open to liveries and visitors, and a large car park sits alongside off-road hacking routes that leave directly from the centre.
Livery clients can choose from full livery or a 5 day full and 2 day DIY package, and arena hire is available. The postcode for sat nav users is CB21 4SX. The centre is licensed and welcomes enquiries by phone or visit during opening hours.
