Riders in Devon can book lessons and hacks at Finlake Riding School, based at Finlake Riding Centre in Chudleigh. The centre runs riding lessons from beginner through to advanced level, with both private and group sessions available on a regular basis. Instruction covers a range of disciplines including dressage, show jumping and cross country, alongside straightforward hacking.
Hacking is a particular draw here, with rides heading out through roughly 130 acres of private parkland and woodland trails. The centre also offers pony rides for younger children and a Saturday club for regular riders. School holiday periods bring dedicated camp sessions, and birthday parties can be arranged at the yard for groups wanting a horse themed celebration.
Facilities include an outdoor arena that is floodlit for evening use, a cross country course, a full set of show jumps and a mounting block to help riders get aboard. On site parking is available for visitors arriving by car. The school teaches children as well as adults and is accessible to riders with additional needs.
Finlake Riding School is open seven days a week from 8am until late, which gives plenty of flexibility for working riders and families. Gift certificates are available for anyone wanting to give the experience as a present. Contact details and the latest booking information can be found through the centre directly.
