Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre

Kingsbridge, Devon

BHS approved

Tucked into the South Hams near Kingsbridge, Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre has been teaching riders since 1989 and operates as both a BHS Approved riding school and a BHS Registered livery yard. Group lessons start from £15 for a half hour session, with private lessons, clinics and BHS exam preparation also available for riders aged 5 and over.

The centre runs a Pony Club Centre, school holiday camps and regular clinics covering show jumping, dressage, eventing and cross country. Beginners are welcomed, and ponies and horses are available to suit a range of ages and abilities. Children and adults can take group or private lessons, and the team also prepares riders for British Horse Society qualifications.

Riding takes place in a 15m x 40m indoor school and a 30m x 55m outdoor school, both surfaced with sand and fibre for year-round use. There is a jump field for cross-country practice, viewing platforms for spectators, stabling, a tack room, hay and bedding storage, plus on-site parking, toilets and changing facilities. Livery services cover DIY, full, holiday and schooling options, with horse schooling available for owners who want their mounts worked on.

Dittiscombe is set in rural South West Devon and is listed on the British Horse Society approved register. Riders and liveries travel from Kingsbridge and the surrounding villages, with the postcode TQ7 2QF. Contact the centre to book lessons, enquire about livery or find out about upcoming Pony Club sessions.
