Fenland Equestrian Centre is a professionally run riding school based at Begdale near Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. It teaches riders from the age of three upwards and welcomes complete beginners as well as more experienced riders. Group and private riding lessons are offered throughout the week, and the centre is also a popular destination for pony days, holiday camps and birthday parties.
The centre runs regular unaffiliated and club-level competitions in dressage, show jumping, showing and gymkhana events, giving riders a clear progression route through regular tests and show practice. An Own Your Own Pony Day is available for younger children who want a fuller experience without the commitment of full ownership, and a horse loan scheme known as Equi Connect is offered for those looking for a longer-term arrangement. Equine therapy sessions for children with special educational needs are also part of the centre's programme.
Facilities include a floodlit outdoor arena, a separate show arena, an event barn known as the Caballos Barn, a tack room, feed room and on-site stables. Hat hire is available for visitors who do not yet have their own riding equipment, and a rug wash service is offered. The arena can be hired for independent training, and the centre is accessible to riders with additional needs.
Fenland Equestrian Centre holds five-star council licensing (AW034) and is approved by the Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS). Lesson prices start from £15 for a 30-minute Tiny Tots session on Saturdays. Opening hours are Monday and Tuesday 1pm to 7pm, Wednesday 10am to 7pm, Thursday closed, Friday 9am to 12pm, Saturday 9am to 5.30pm and Sundays reserved for events. The postcode is PE14 0RN.
