Aescwood Farm Children's Riding School Ltd
Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
Aescwood Farm Children's Riding School Ltd has been teaching children to ride since 1981, making it one of the longer established junior riding schools in south Buckinghamshire. The school is family run and works exclusively with riders aged 4 to 12, so the ponies, the teaching style and the facilities are all set up around young beginners.
Riding lessons take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings and cover the usual progression from first mounting through to confident walk and trot. Hacking is part of the offering, with rides going out into Hodgemoor Woods from the farm. Gymkhana games are used alongside the standard lesson work, giving younger riders extra motivation and a chance to put their skills into practice in a less formal setting.
The grounds include an indoor arena and outdoor arena, indoor stables and outdoor paddocks, which means lessons can continue in poor weather. Holiday camps run during school breaks, and the school also puts on fun days, horse shows, grooming and pony care instruction, and birthday parties every Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Birthday parties make use of the same ponies and arenas as the lessons.
Aescwood Farm holds a licence from Buckinghamshire Council. The postcode is HP9 2RQ, in Beescroft Road, Beaconsfield. Families interested in lessons, holiday camps or booking a party should contact the school directly to confirm availability, group times and current prices.
