Grove Riding School
Lane End, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Grove Riding School is a licensed ABRS-approved centre and livery yard set in Lane End, near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. The school teaches riders aged 3 to 74, with a clear focus on welcoming beginners and young children into the saddle. Group and individual lessons are offered in a range of disciplines including dressage, show jumping, cross country, hacking and horseball, and intensive courses are run for those who want to progress more quickly. Tots Trot sessions start from GBP 32 for children aged 3 and over.
The facilities support year-round riding. An indoor arena and an outdoor arena are both available, along with an undercover viewing area for spectators. Cross country schooling fences are on site for those building their confidence over bigger obstacles, and horseball goals are set up for team play. Off the road, riders can head out on off-road hacking across the West Wycombe estate, taking in quiet bridleways and open countryside on the Chilterns edge.
Beyond regular lessons, the school runs summer and holiday camps, birthday parties and own a pony days, giving children extended time with the horses. A breaking service is offered for owners bringing on young horses, and gift vouchers are available for lessons and experiences. The yard also hosts Maidensgrove RDA, providing riding for the disabled, and runs equine interaction sessions aimed at older people and those living with dementia.
Grove Riding School is licensed by Wycombe District Council and is a member of both the Association of British Riding Schools and Riding for the Disabled. The yard is open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays, making weekend visits straightforward for families and visiting riders. Full contact details and a current price list can be obtained directly from the school at HP14 3NR.
