Lower Farm operates as a family-run equestrian centre set in West Berkshire. The school provides group and private riding lessons alongside a full livery service, with instruction available for complete beginners as well as more established riders. Lessons are open to children, and structured holiday camps run during school breaks for younger riders looking to build their skills over a longer period.
A broad programme of training is on offer across the main British disciplines. Riders can school in dressage, work over show jumping courses or take instruction in cross country. The cross country course is built to British Eventing standard and includes a water complex, ditches and steps, giving competitors a realistic schooling environment. Clinics and arena hire are also available for those wanting independent practice or coaching away from regular lessons.
The facilities support year-round riding regardless of weather or light. An indoor arena measuring 61 metres by 22 metres and a floodlit outdoor arena measuring 61 metres by 35 metres allow lessons and competitions to continue through the winter months. Additional on-site amenities include 42 stables, a hot horse shower and a solarium, together with a cafe for visitors. The centre runs jumping and dressage competitions as well as residential riding camps, and hosts Riding for the Disabled sessions, reflecting its commitment to accessible equestrian sport.
Lower Farm is approved by British Dressage, British Showjumping and Riding for the Disabled, and is a licensed venue with British Eventing standard cross country. Instruction is delivered by BHS qualified instructors. Group lessons start from GBP 15 for a 20-minute Tots session. Enquiries can be made directly through the centre, which is located in West Berkshire within the South East of England.
