Lavant Equestrian sits on an 80-acre site on the South Downs near Chichester, offering riding lessons for adults and children of all abilities. The school is registered with the British Horse Society and runs a structured programme that takes riders from their first introduction in the saddle through to more advanced flatwork and jumping. Beginners are particularly well catered for, with introductory rides designed to build confidence before riders join regular group lessons.
Lessons take place in a floodlit indoor arena and a floodlit outdoor arena, both fitted with mirrors to support training. The outdoor school is equipped with a full set of show-jumping equipment, and the centre also maintains cross-country courses on its 80 acres of South Downs land. Hacking is a major part of the offering, with routes directly onto the surrounding downs. Riders can also take part in events and competitions hosted at the centre, attend adult clinics aimed at more experienced riders, or book one of the popular pony camps during the school holidays.
The facilities extend well beyond the arenas. There are spectator areas for watching lessons, hardstanding parking for visitors, stabling for school and liveried horses, tack rooms and on-site laundry facilities. Loan livery and membership packages are available for those who want to take on a horse or pony on a shared basis, and gift vouchers can be purchased for lessons or pony camp places.
