Kinshaldy Riding Stables sits within Tentsmuir Forest in Fife, Scotland, and uses the surrounding woodland and coast as its classroom. Riders can take lessons in an outdoor arena and head out on hacks that lead through the forest and onto Kinshaldy Beach, giving every outing a strong sense of place. The school also runs pony parties and group experiences built around its miniature Shetlands.
Lessons are offered in group and private formats, with beginners and children explicitly welcome. The 30 minute group lesson and the 30 minute pony ride or hack start from GBP 22 for regulars from 1 April 2026, making the school a straightforward entry point for those new to riding. Gift vouchers are available for those who would prefer to give the experience rather than book it themselves.
Facilities centre on a secure enclosed outdoor arena, a self catering party room and a party barn for events, alongside on site stabling. Parking is provided for visitors arriving by car. Occasional livery is taken on, and the team also runs therapy sessions, pony rides, team building experiences and birthday parties, so the site handles a mix of riders and visitors alongside its core lesson and hacking programme.
The stables operate from Tentsmuir Forest in Fife and are accessible to riders with additional needs. Beach hacking, hacking and pony trekking are the named disciplines, all of which take advantage of the coastal setting. Anyone interested in booking can contact the school directly for the latest lesson times, hack availability and party bookings.
