Witney Pony Partners

Oxfordshire

Witney Pony Partners is a small equitation centre based in Witney, Oxfordshire, teaching riding and groundwork using ethical, biomechanics-based methods. Lessons are delivered on a one-to-one basis for both children and adults, allowing instruction to be tailored to each rider's experience and goals. The school also runs pony experiences, lead-rein hacks, pony parties, alternative provision and wellbeing sessions, giving visitors a range of ways to spend time with the horses.

The centre teaches a broad set of disciplines alongside standard lessons, including biomechanics riding, groundwork, liberty work, pony walking and trick training. Freelance instruction is available for owners wanting coaching with their own horse, and stable management sessions are offered for those looking to build practical knowledge. Gift vouchers can be purchased for lessons and experiences, making the school a popular choice for family gifts and special occasions.

Facilities on site include an outdoor arena, a barn and stabling, providing a straightforward setting for both mounted and unmounted work. Group lessons can be arranged by the client at GBP 25 per hour per person, while individual lessons, pony parties, hack sessions and the various alternative provision and wellbeing programmes are priced separately on enquiry. The team works with riders of different ages and abilities, including those accessing alternative provision through school or local authority referrals.

Witney Pony Partners holds a 5 star DEFRA animal activity licence and is a member of the International Society for Equitation Science, with the practitioner applying equitation science principles across the teaching programme. Holiday camps run during school breaks and birthday parties can be arranged for children. The centre is accessible and enquiries can be made directly by phone or email to discuss lesson availability, bookings and the full range of services on offer.
