Standlake Equestrian Centre operates from a site in Oxfordshire and functions primarily as a competition and training venue rather than a traditional riding school. Riders and owners based in the South East can access a broad programme of equestrian activities here, with private dressage tuition, group lessons, showjumping and pole clinics, and training clinics running alongside affiliated competitions.
The centre caters to a wide range of equestrians, from those wanting structured lessons to competitors preparing for affiliated events. Disciplines on offer include dressage, show jumping, eventing and cross country, supported by a main cross country course running from 70cm to 1m and a separate members field cross country training field. Lessons are available for individuals and groups, and hacking can be arranged in the surrounding countryside.
Facilities include two floodlit indoor arenas, the main one measuring 65m by 35.5m and a second covered indoor at 30m by 55m, plus an 80m by 54m all-weather outdoor arena and a grass dressage field. The site also provides permanent stabling, a dog run, meeting rooms, an overflow car park and an on-site restaurant known as the Hayloft Cafe, which makes it practical for owners spending long days at the venue.
The centre is affiliated with British Dressage, British Eventing, British Showjumping and British Riding Clubs (BRC Area 5), giving members a direct route into recognised competition. It is located in Standlake, postcode OX29 7UH, with the office open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00. Enquiries about lessons, membership, clinic bookings or venue hire for equine, canine, meeting room or corporate use can be made by contacting the centre directly during office hours.
