Wirral Riding Centre
Neston, Cheshire West and Chester
Wirral Riding Centre operates from a base in Neston, within the borough of Cheshire West and Chester in North West England. The school sits on the British Horse Society approved register and is also recognised as a Pony Club Centre and an RDA group, allowing it to deliver a broad mix of riding and equestrian activities to adults and children across the region.
Lessons are available as private or group sessions, with the centre able to teach complete beginners as well as more experienced riders. Both children and adults are welcome, and the team runs Pony Club activities alongside horse care days and mechanical horse sessions for those who want to build their knowledge away from the saddle. Riders with additional needs are catered for through the centre's RDA sessions, which are run by trained coaches and volunteers.
On the competitive side, the school hosts showjumping competitions and offers hacking out from the premises, giving pupils the chance to take their schooling into open countryside. Apprenticeships and alternative provision are offered for older learners, and PTT training is available for those working towards British Horse Society qualifications. Holiday camps run during school breaks, providing full or half day sessions for children.
Facilities support the wide range of activities, with extended hours during the working week to suit after school riders. Opening times are Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 9.00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. The centre is closed on Mondays. The postcode is CH64 8TA, and enquiries can be made by contacting the centre directly to discuss lesson availability, competitions and upcoming events.
