Upper Hattons Stables is an ABRS-approved equestrian centre located in Coven, Wolverhampton. The centre provides a structured programme of riding lessons alongside livery services, hacking opportunities, pony parties and own-a-pony days. Riders of all levels are catered for, from complete beginners through to more experienced equestrians, and children are particularly welcome.
The school teaches dressage, hacking and show jumping, with both group and shared private formats available. Shared private lessons start from GBP 28 for a 25 minute session for two riders. Birthday parties are offered for younger riders, and an own-a-pony day gives children supervised time handling and caring for a pony on site.
Facilities include a 60x40 metre outdoor arena, an indoor arena, a horse walker, paddocks, a solarium, stables, a tack room and wash bays. The arenas are floodlit, allowing lessons and training to continue during darker hours and through the winter months. Hacking routes are accessible directly from the yard. Stables are licensed and the centre holds ABRS approval, and it is also a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association.
The yard is open Tuesday to Thursday from 8:00 to 20:00 and on weekends from 8:00 to 17:00. Monday and Friday are closed. Additional services include horse ball sessions and assistance with horse sales. Enquiries about lessons, livery or events can be made by contacting the stables directly.
