Studland Trekking Centre

Studland, Dorset

Studland Trekking Centre is a riding establishment set within the Studland area of Dorset, part of the South West England region. The centre combines a hacking and trekking facility with a full livery yard, catering to riders who want to explore the surrounding countryside as well as owners needing stabling for their own horses.

Riders can choose from a varied programme of guided horse treks across several distinct landscapes. Beach rides, dune rides, forest rides, heathland rides and clifftop rides are all on offer, alongside pub rides and longer day rides. Both group rides and private or semi-private bookings are available, with sessions starting from GBP 69 for a one hour heathland group beginner ride. Beginners and children are accepted, making the centre a practical option for those taking their first steps in the saddle as well as more experienced riders looking for a scenic hack.

On site, the facilities include a 20 by 40 metre woodchip menage, rubber-matted stables, a secure tack room, a mounting block, parking and a toilet for client use. The yard is monitored by 24 hour CCTV, and gift vouchers are available for those booking rides on behalf of others. For horse owners, services extend to full livery and working livery, as well as a horse B&B option for visiting horses.

Located at BH19 3AQ, the centre holds Dorset Council licence 7095, confirming it meets the required local authority standards for riding establishments. Opening hours run from Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm, with UK Bank Holidays also open and the following day closed. Contact details and booking information are listed on the centre's own website.
