Newhouse Livery Yard is a small livery yard located near Kirknewton on the outskirts of the City of Edinburgh. The yard operates with 12 stables and provides both full livery and part livery services, catering to horse owners who need daily assistance with their horse's care as well as those who prefer a more hands-on approach.
Hacking is the main discipline on offer, with access to off-road riding straight from the yard. Riders can also make use of the on-site training facilities, which include a floodlit outdoor arena, a 20 metre round pen and a selection of show jumps suitable for schooling and practice sessions. The floodlit arena allows for evening riding during the shorter winter days.
The yard is set up with practical horse care in mind. On-site parking, a hardstand area for the farrier, rug wash facilities, tack rooms and tea and coffee facilities are all available for liveries. Toilet and changing facilities add to the convenience for owners visiting the yard. The owner holds BHS qualifications, providing professional oversight of horse care and management.
Newhouse Livery Yard is situated in Kirknewton within the City of Edinburgh, with easy access from the surrounding area. Prospective liveries are advised to contact the yard directly to discuss availability, current rates and the specific livery packages on offer, as spaces in the 12-stable yard are limited.
