Nelson Park Riding Centre Ltd operates as a large licensed riding school set across more than 15 acres in Thanet, near Birchington on the Kent coast. The centre runs a busy programme of riding lessons alongside full livery services, making it a working hub for both recreational riders and horse owners in the area.
Lessons are open to beginners and children, with structured training available through BHS Stages 1 to 4, NVQ training and BHS examinations on site. Pony Club activities and holiday camps give younger riders a chance to progress, while RDA approved sessions and the Changing Lives Through Horses programme broaden the centre's reach to riders with additional needs and those benefiting from non-traditional routes into equestrian sport. Birthday parties, gift vouchers, clinics and media work round out the public-facing services.
Facilities are extensive. Riders can make use of an indoor arena and a floodlit outdoor arena, a showjump field and a cross country course. Supporting amenities include heated tack and rug rooms, a laundry facility, an equine solarium and shower, a viewing gallery, a clubroom, public toilets and a defibrillator. Glamping pods are also available on site. Disciplines taught and practised cover showjumping and cross country.
The centre sits within easy reach of the A28 and the A299, serving riders from across Thanet and the wider South East. It is listed on the British Horse Society approved register, holds local authority licensing and has been a BHS approved yard for many years, including highly commended status, as well as Pony Club centre and RDA approved centre recognition. Anyone interested in booking lessons, livery or activities can contact the centre directly using the postcode CT7 0HJ for correspondence and enquiries.
