Mayfield Riding Stables is a family-run riding school and livery yard based in Tatsfield, on the edge of Surrey within easy reach of the South East. The yard has been operating since 1996 and is listed on the British Horse Society approved register, holding BHS-approved and BHS Riding and Road Safety Centre statuses. It is licensed by Tandridge District Council.
Riding tuition is the core of the business, with lessons open to children and adults of all abilities, including complete beginners. Group lessons start from GBP 32 for thirty minutes, and the school covers dressage, show jumping and hacking. Lessons run throughout the year, supplemented by holiday pony days and birthday party sessions. Riders working towards formal qualifications can take BHS training courses on site.
Facilities include all-weather outdoor arenas that are floodlit for evening use, allowing lessons and schooling to continue through the shorter winter days. Tea and coffee are provided for spectators, making the school a relaxed setting for parents watching children ride. Hacking is offered directly from the yard, taking riders out onto local lanes and bridleways around Tatsfield.
Beyond lessons, Mayfield operates a full livery yard and offers horse and pony loans, gift vouchers, in-house shows and team building events. The stables are located at postcode TN16 2NG. Enquiries about lessons, livery or bookings for parties and courses can be made by contacting the yard directly.
