Lings Lane Riding Stables

Lings Lane Riding Stables operates from Keyworth on the southern edge of Nottingham and has been established for many years as a British Horse Society approved riding school. It also holds a 5 star DEFRA rating, reflecting the standard of animal welfare and premises maintained on site. The school teaches riders of all ages, with structured lessons for complete beginners as well as more experienced riders looking to build on their existing skills.

Lessons form the core of what is offered, with prices starting at £30 for a child's one hour group lesson or a half hour one-to-one session. Adult riders pay £35 for a one hour ride or £33 for a half hour one-to-one. Beyond the school, the stables run escorted hacking for those who want to experience riding out in the local countryside with a knowledgeable guide. Pony mornings and pony days give younger riders an extended time at the yard, while holiday camps and birthday parties provide a setting for group activities throughout the school breaks.

The stables are accessible and welcome riders of varying abilities. They are also an RDA hosting centre, accommodating local Riding for the Disabled groups who use the facilities and horses for therapeutic sessions. Group visits can be arranged for schools, clubs or other organisations wanting to spend time at the yard. The setting in Keyworth keeps the school within easy reach of Nottingham and the surrounding villages of the Rushcliffe area.

The yard is fully licensed, and lessons, hacking and all other activities are run under the supervision of qualified staff. Booking is typically arranged by contacting the stables directly to confirm availability and discuss what is on offer. With its combination of BHS approval, DEFRA 5 star status and RDA involvement, Lings Lane Riding Stables provides a regulated environment for anyone in the Nottingham area looking to start riding or to enjoy time around horses.
