Gertrude Road Riding School is based in Nottinghamshire and caters to riders seeking structured instruction across a broad range of disciplines. Tuition forms the core of the business, with individual sessions available and prices starting from GBP 40 for 40 minutes of instruction including school hire. Riders can also take part in training clinics, equestrian fitness sessions and competitions held on site, making it a practical choice for those who want to combine regular lessons with competitive experience.
The school works across dressage, show jumping, arena eventing, combined training, show cross and cross country, so riders of different interests can find a discipline to suit them. Lessons are supported by a full set of schooling facilities, including an indoor arena, a floodlit outdoor arena and a cross country course with both a full course and a dedicated schooling field. Arena hire is offered to liveries and external riders, and the venue hosts British Showjumping and British Dressage competitions.
Alongside riding services the centre has a cafe and an equestrian shop, useful for riders and spectators spending a full day on site. Horses for sale are advertised through the school, and full livery is available for owners wanting their horse kept on the premises. The mix of indoor and outdoor arenas, floodlighting and cross country schooling means lessons and training can continue through the winter months and into the evenings.
Gertrude Road Riding School sits within the East Midlands and can be contacted directly through the centre for lesson bookings, livery enquiries, arena hire and details of forthcoming competitions. Visitors planning a first visit are advised to call ahead to confirm availability and to discuss which service best matches their experience and goals.
