Cross Lane Equestrian Ltd

Cross Lane Equestrian Ltd runs a small livery yard on the edge of Harlow Wood near Blidworth, on the outskirts of Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. The yard caters to horse owners looking for straightforward livery arrangements and to riders who want a place to school or compete in a relaxed setting.

Four livery options are available. Full livery suits owners who want their horse fully cared for day to day, while part livery provides assistance with tasks such as turning out and mucking out. DIY livery is offered for those who prefer to handle all the work themselves, and grass livery starts from GBP 100 per month for horses kept at grass with seasonal shelter. Backing, clipping and schooling are also available for owners wanting extra support with their horses.

The facilities centre on a 35x45m floodlit sand menage, fitted with dressage boards and a set of showjumps that can be adjusted for different levels. A secure tack room, kitchen and toilet are provided for clients on the yard, and lorry or trailer storage is available for those who travel to events. Field shelters give horses a place to get out of the weather, and the surrounding Harlow Wood offers direct hacking from the gate.

Lessons and schooling sessions take place on site, and the yard runs clear round jumping events for riders wanting low-pressure competition practice. Disciplines taught include dressage, hacking and show jumping. The school is a British Horse Society approved centre and is listed on the BHS approved register. The postcode for satnav is NG21 0LX. Anyone interested in livery, school hire or upcoming events should contact the yard directly for current availability and pricing.
