Kiln Farm Riding School

Hampshire

Kiln Farm Riding School is an ABRS-approved centre based in Hampshire, welcoming riders of all ages and abilities. Group and semi-private lessons form the core of the teaching programme, with sessions suitable for complete beginners through to more experienced riders returning to the saddle. Children aged four and over can learn alongside adults, with half hour group lessons priced from GBP 25.

The school runs a varied activity programme beyond standard lessons. Carriage driving tuition is offered for those interested in learning to handle a carriage and pony on the ground and behind the wheel. Showjumping and pony trekking are available for riders looking to build their skills in different settings. Holiday camps and dedicated pony days give children the chance to spend extended time at the yard during school breaks, combining riding with stable management.

Facilities at the yard include a covered arena that allows lessons to continue in poor weather, a clubhouse for parents and visitors, and a party room used for birthday parties and group celebrations. Paddocks surround the site, with stables accommodating the working ponies and horses. The setting gives groups space to ride outdoors as well as in the covered arena, depending on conditions and ability.

Kiln Farm Riding School is accredited by the Association of British Riding Schools, which sets standards for safety, teaching and animal welfare at member centres. The yard opens Tuesday to Thursday from 2pm to 8:30pm and on weekends from 8:30am to 5pm, closing on Mondays and Fridays. Booking is recommended for lessons, and the school can be contacted directly for information about availability, party bookings and carriage driving tuition.
