Hill Farm Riding School

Hill Farm Riding School operates as a British Horse Society approved centre and Pony Club centre on the outskirts of Bury Saint Edmunds. Lessons are available for riders of all abilities, including complete beginners and children taking their first rides. The school also runs holiday and summer camps, structured Pony Club sessions and assessments, and a racing club for younger riders interested in that discipline.

Riders can learn across a wide range of disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, eventing, cross country, hacking, showing, and carriage driving. The on-site facilities support this variety of work, with a main arena, a wood chip arena, a lunge ring, and a cross country course available for hacking and jumping practice. Pony club members have access to a dedicated pony club room, and the school is set up to be accessible for visitors with mobility needs.

Beyond lessons, the yard offers full livery, with stabling on site, and hacking is available from the premises for those wanting to take their horses out on local routes. Birthday parties for children can be arranged using the school ponies. Gift vouchers are available, and the facilities, including the arenas, can be hired out for independent use. Horsebox hire is offered for those needing transport for their horses.

The school is licensed by Mid Suffolk District Council and carries county council approval alongside its veterinary approval and BHS approved status. Opening hours run from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm on Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sunday, with the yard closed on Fridays. The postcode is WD7 7HP, and enquiries can be made by contacting the school directly.
