Heartfelt Connections CIC operates Homestead Equestrian Centre, a fully licensed riding school and livery yard on the edge of the Derbyshire countryside near Ashbourne. The centre welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, with lessons available for both adults and children. Beginners can start their horsemanship journey here, and regular riders can build on their skills under instruction.
A 40 metre by 20 metre outdoor arena provides the main space for lessons, while a network of electrically fenced paddocks and a hack in track give horses room to move and graze. Practical facilities for visitors and liveries include a kitchen, a play field, a secure tack room, a warm horse shower, a toilet and self-filling water troughs. Lessons are open to those who do not own a horse, while liveries and pony owners benefit from a broad range of yard services.
Beyond standard riding lessons, the centre runs an activity badge programme, structured horse agility instruction, horse and pony parties, and a youth development programme. An own a pony day offers children a hands-on introduction to everyday horse care. Seasonal and festive events are held throughout the year, alongside rug washing and re-proofing for liveries. Livery packages cover DIY, part and full options, with individual care plans tailored to each horse.
Homestead Equestrian Centre is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 3pm, though livery clients have separate access times. The site is a fully licensed riding school, meeting local authority standards. Visitors are advised to contact Heartfelt Connections CIC directly for lesson bookings, party enquiries or livery availability.
