Hargate Equestrian Ltd is a British Horse Society approved centre set on a 30 acre site in south west Derbyshire. The yard operates as a combined riding school, livery yard and competition venue, with teaching available for riders of all abilities from their first sitting on a pony through to more experienced combinations.
Lessons are offered for beginners and children, with group sessions starting from GBP 16 for a 30 minute Tiny Tots lesson. Teaching covers the core disciplines of dressage, show jumping and combined training, and riders can take part in regular shows, clinics and Pony Club activities held on site. The yard holds Pony Club centre status, giving younger riders a structured pathway into equestrian sport.
The facilities support year round riding and competition. There is an indoor arena for all weather schooling, an outdoor collecting ring and two outdoor competition arenas, along with stabling and space for arena hire. Birthday pony parties are offered for younger riders, and a range of livery packages is available, including schooling and competition livery and a dedicated sports horse rehabilitation service.
The yard is open Tuesday to Saturday and is based at DE65 5FJ in Derby, Derbyshire, within the East Midlands region. It is fully licensed and listed on the BHS approved register, providing reassurance on welfare and teaching standards. Anyone interested in lessons, livery or upcoming events can contact Hargate Equestrian directly for further details and the current schedule of activities.
