Forest Edge Arena operates as a professionally run equestrian competition centre on the outskirts of Swaffham in Norfolk. The venue caters to riders across a broad range of disciplines, including show jumping, dressage, eventing, one day events, flatwork and showing. Competitions are held on a regular basis, making the centre a busy hub for grassroots competitors and those stepping up through the levels.
The facilities on site are designed to support both competition and training needs. Riders can make use of a sizeable indoor arena and an outdoor arena, providing year round schooling regardless of the weather. A cross country course is available for hire, alongside schooling opportunities in show jumping and flatwork. Hacking in the surrounding forest is offered as an additional way to vary training and enjoy the local countryside.
Holiday camping is available at the centre, which proves useful for competitors travelling with horses, lorries or staying for multi day events. A cafe serves a full menu at weekends during events and during large weekday events, with a limited menu at quieter times. A soft seating area allows visitors to relax between classes, and on site parking is provided for cars and trailers. Group meal catering is also offered for groups attending together.
The venue holds accreditation as both a British Dressage venue and a British Showjacking venue, with training clinics forming part of the regular programme. Arena hire is available throughout the schedule, subject to bookings. The office is closed on Mondays, and the cafe is also closed that day. Anyone planning a visit should contact the centre directly to confirm availability, training dates and event timetables. The postcode for sat nav users is PE37 8AS, placing the centre within easy reach of the A47 and the wider Norfolk road network.
