Croft Cottage Stables

Croft Cottage Stables operates as a family-run, 5-star licensed riding school in the village of Fitling, East Riding of Yorkshire. Tuition is delivered in small groups, allowing riders to progress at a steady pace across dressage, show jumping and hacking. Dedicated mini rider sessions cater to the youngest enthusiasts, often running as parent and toddler formats from GBP 18. The school also teaches complete beginners and children, making it a practical starting point for families looking to learn to ride in a supportive setting.

Beyond regular lessons, the stables run pony club sessions, pony camps during school holidays and birthday parties that make use of an on-site party room. Riders can take part in show ring simulation work to prepare for competitions, while adults and groups are served by corporate days and wellbeing sessions aimed at team building and relaxation. SEN sessions form part of the timetable, broadening access for riders with additional needs. Hacking and trekking are available for those wanting to explore the surrounding East Yorkshire countryside on horseback.

The setting is rural, with space for both schooling and informal riding. A party room provides an indoor area for celebrations and group events, and the school grounds accommodate the range of activities on offer. Riders are taught by qualified coaches who focus on safe, structured progression through the disciplines.

Croft Cottage Stables opens Tuesdays from 10am to 6pm, Wednesdays from 10am to 7pm, Thursdays and Fridays for corporate days and wellbeing sessions, Saturdays from 9am to 1:30pm for lessons and 2pm to 5pm for club activities, and Sundays on a fortnightly basis from 10am onwards.
