Patrington Haven Equestrian Centre
East Riding of Yorkshire
Patrington Haven Equestrian Centre is a family-run riding school and livery yard operating across 30 acres in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The centre caters to riders from the age of six upwards, with private and semi-private lessons forming the core of the riding school timetable. Tiny tot sessions are also offered for the youngest riders, and pony days run during school holidays. A 30 minute private lesson is priced from £50.
Hacking is the principal discipline taught and ridden at the centre, making it a practical choice for those who want to spend time in the saddle out on local routes rather than focus on a competitive sport. Lessons are open to children, with teaching tailored to younger riders as well as adults returning to the saddle or starting out for the first time. Livery clients can choose from DIY, part and full livery arrangements, with ad hoc livery also available for those needing shorter-term stabling.
Facilities include floodlit indoor and outdoor arenas surfaced with sand and fibre, allowing lessons to continue through the winter months regardless of the weather. A solarium is available for warming and drying horses, and year-round turnout is offered across 30 acres of grazing. There is on-site parking for trailers and horse boxes, which is useful for owners visiting the yard or those arriving with their own transport.
The yard opens Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 21.00 and at weekends and on bank holidays from 08.00 to 19.00. Riding school hours are more limited, with Tuesday and Thursday running from 10.00 to 21.00 and other days from 10.00 to 16.00; the school is closed on Mondays. The office can be contacted between 10.00 and 17.00. Anyone interested in booking lessons or arranging livery is encouraged to get in touch with the centre directly to discuss availability.
