Country Treks

Kidderminster, Shropshire

BHS approved

Country Treks is a British Horse Society approved equestrian centre on the Shropshire and Worcestershire border near Kidderminster. Set across a 30 acre site of fields, woodlands and a lake, the centre teaches riders of all ages and abilities. UKCC qualified coaches lead lessons in dressage, show jumping, cross country and hacking, with both group and private sessions available.

Beginners and children are well catered for, with dedicated pony days, pony camps during school holidays and pony parties for younger riders. The centre hosts a Pony Club branch and runs an alternative education academy, as well as welcoming school groups. Day rides and multi-day riding holidays are offered for visitors who want to explore the surrounding countryside on horseback.

The centre holds the Riding for the Disabled Association Accessibility Mark and is home to the Ludlow and District RDA group, providing accessible coaching and lessons for riders with additional needs. Facilities include a 70 by 30 metre outdoor arena, a cross country course and a show jump course, all set within the main site. A saddle and social club gives regular riders a chance to spend time with horses in a relaxed setting. The on-site cafe is open from 9am to 5pm.

Open seven days a week, Country Treks is co-located with Shropshire Adventures, an outdoor activity centre that adds climbing, archery and water sports to the experience. Riders can combine time in the saddle with a broader day out on the site. The postcode is DY14 8US. Contact details are available through the centre's website for booking lessons, hacks, holiday activities and RDA sessions.
