Coltspring School Of Riding

Coltspring School Of Riding is based in Chandlers Cross near Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, and welcomes riders from the age of three upwards. Lessons run across the week for beginners through to more experienced riders, with tiny tots sessions priced from GBP 20 for a 30-minute group. Older children and adults can take regular riding lessons, and the school runs a Gallop and Giggles Club, holiday camps, gymkhanas and own-a-pony days throughout the year.

The centre is fully accessible and is well suited to riders with special educational needs, offering equine-assisted learning sessions delivered by trained staff. Riders can learn and practise across a range of disciplines including cross country, gymkhana and hacking out on local lanes and bridleways. Schooling on the flat and over jumps is available within the arenas.

Facilities on site include a large indoor school and a smaller indoor school, both floodlit, along with a canter track, a cross country schooling field with a full course of fences, and turnout paddocks. On-site stabling supports the livery service, which is available alongside hacking for liveries and lessons for visiting riders. Free parking is provided for clients.

Opening hours are Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 6pm, Thursday from 2pm to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm, with the school closed on Fridays and Sundays. The premises are licensed by Three Rivers District Council and operate from the WD3 4LR postcode.
