Burstow Park Riding Centre

Burstow Park Riding Centre provides riding lessons and livery services on the Sussex and Surrey border, close to Horley in West Sussex. The centre caters for riders across a wide age range and ability level, with school ponies and horses available for lessons and an established beginner programme. Group and individual sessions are offered alongside structured clinics, while regular pony days and holiday camps run throughout the school breaks. Adult camps, own a pony days and carriage rides are also part of the regular programme, giving visitors several ways to get involved beyond standard lessons.

Three riding arenas sit at the heart of the centre. One indoor school and two floodlit outdoor schools allow lessons to continue regardless of weather or season. The centre covers the core British disciplines, with cross country, dressage and show jumping all on the timetable. Riders looking to experience competition can take part in unaffiliated dressage competitions and fun shows held on site, while those wanting to refine technique can book mechanical horse sessions using the rider mechanical horse, or use the solarium and wash bay as part of their routine.

Livery clients are based in a stable yard of 40 loose boxes, supported by practical facilities including a farrier bay, lunge pen, mounting block, on-site toilets and an office. A car park is available for visitors and owners, and a mounting block assists younger or less confident riders. The combination of arenas, stables and support facilities means horses can be schooled, hacked and competed without leaving the site.

Burstow Park Riding Centre is at RH6 9TF, with opening hours of Tuesday to Friday 9:30 to 18:30, Saturday 9:30 to 18:30 and Sunday 10:00 to 18:30; the centre is closed on Mondays. Prices start from GBP 15 for events entry, with pony camps shared from GBP 30 and group lessons from GBP 34 for members. Walk and carriage ride options are available from GBP 15 and GBP 22 respectively.
