Bennington Carriage Driving Academy

Bennington Carriage Driving Academy is a dedicated carriage driving centre located in Lincolnshire, in the East Midlands. The school works across the carriage driving disciplines, including dressage, cones and marathon obstacles, with tuition available from novice through to advanced level. Lessons are open to beginners, and the teaching is led by a UKCC Level 3 coach in driving, Sue Mart.

Pupils train on a purpose-built site set across 10 acres. Facilities include an outdoor dressage arena measuring 100m x 40m, a separate outdoor training area, a cones course, a grass fitness track, and a water splash and obstacle complex for marathon work. Day boxes are available on site, along with wash down facilities, parking, and tea, coffee and kitchen facilities for visitors. Toilets are also provided.

Beyond regular lessons, the academy runs carriage driving camps and offers try driving experiences for those new to the sport. Specialist services include harness fitting, carriage sales from the on-site showroom, carriage servicing and maintenance, and facility hire starting from GBP 15 per hour. The academy also manufactures carriages and retails driving accessories, making it a practical base for owners as well as learners.

The centre operates by appointment from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm, excluding Bank Holidays. Saturdays are also available by appointment. Visitors wishing to enquire about lessons, camps, facility hire, or carriage sales should contact the academy directly to arrange a visit or booking.
