Lessons at Stickney Riding Centre run throughout the week in a floodlit 20 by 60 metre all-weather arena, allowing riding to continue after dark and across poor weather. The centre is a five star licensed riding school under Riding Establishment Licence AWL0004, and holds approval from the British Horse Society. Instruction is delivered by BHS qualified coaches and is offered as both private and group sessions, with an explicit welcome to complete beginners and to children from age four upwards.
Riders can work across three core disciplines. Lessons cover dressage on the flat, show jumping, and cross country, giving a balanced grounding for those who want to progress in competition as well as for riders who simply want a varied programme. The centre also runs Pony Club activities as a Pony Club linked centre, which is a useful route for younger riders who want to work through Pony Club badges and tests. Beyond mounted sessions, an horsemanship academy provides unmounted sessions covering the theoretical and practical side of horse care.
Coaching is available for clients who bring their own horses as well as for those riding centre horses, which makes the venue suitable for both first time riders and more established owners seeking schooled input. The outdoor arena is the main teaching space and is floodlit for evening use, and the surrounding Lincolnshire countryside offers scope for cross country schooling.
Stickney Riding Centre is located in Stickney near Boston in Lincolnshire, postcode PE22 8AG, in the East Midlands. Enquiries about lessons, Pony Club activities or coaching with a own horse can be made by contacting the centre directly, and bookings for the various sessions are arranged through the riding school.
