Urchinwood Manor Equitation Centre

Urchinwood Manor Equitation Centre sits on more than 100 acres of countryside near Bristol, in the North Somerset part of the South West. The centre holds British Horse Society approved status and is also an Accessibility Mark centre, with a recognised presence on the BHS approved register. Lessons, livery and hacking are all available on site, giving riders a single location for tuition, horse care and time in the open.

Tuition covers group, private and semi-private sessions for beginners through to more experienced riders, including children and adults. Riders can work across dressage, show jumping, cross country and side saddle, and there is a structured stable management element to the teaching. The centre runs Pony Club-linked awards, Pony Days during school breaks, and holiday camps, which makes it a practical option for families looking for regular or seasonal riding activities.

Facilities include an indoor arena and an outdoor arena, both dressage arenas, a cross country course, show jumps, stabling, livery paddocks, a horse walker, tack rooms and on-site laundry. Hacking is available directly from the centre, and RDA sessions are offered for riders with additional needs. Competitions and clinics run through the year, alongside the Horse Explorers and Pony Stars programmes aimed at younger or less experienced riders.

Livery is offered on a full or working basis, with individual paddocks and the usual stabling and tack room support. The office is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00, and visitors are asked to contact the centre during those hours to arrange visits, bookings or livery enquiries. The postcode for sat navs is BS49 5AP.
