Turnberry Equestrian Centre sits within the grounds of Trump Turnberry Resort in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The centre provides horse riding lessons alongside a range of equine experiences aimed at visiting riders, local clients and those wanting to enjoy the Ayrshire countryside on horseback.
Lessons are available for adults and children, with lead rein sessions offered for the youngest or least confident riders. Beginners are taught alongside more established riders, and an own a pony experience gives children a practical introduction to looking after a horse. Hacking forms a major part of the centre's offering, with guided beach rides and estate treks allowing riders to take horses out across the local landscape. Long reining and groundwork are also offered, and carriage driving is available in the form of horse and carriage rides for those who prefer not to ride.
The facilities are modern and well equipped. A new indoor arena sits alongside an outdoor arena, providing year round riding space, while an exercise field and a riding field give further room to work horses. The stable yard contains 22 stables fitted with automatic drinkers and rubber matting, supported by a tack room, feed storage and a hot wash area. Clients bringing their own horses on holiday can make use of a private paddock and on-site hacking directly from the yard.
Livery is a central part of the business, with gold, silver, five day, assisted and DIY packages available to suit different routines and budgets. Arena hire is offered to external riders, and prices start from GBP 55 for a 30 minute lead rein beginner lesson. Visitors are advised to contact the centre directly to book lessons, treks, livery or arena hire and to confirm availability.
