Rheidol Riding Centre operates as a British Horse Society Approved Riding, Training and Examination Centre set in the Rheidol Valley near Aberystwyth in Ceredigion. The centre runs private and group lessons and welcomes both beginners and children, with dedicated lead rein walks on offer. Riders can work through BHS examination training alongside structured dressage training up to advanced level, and the centre also prepares riders for riding and road safety qualifications.
The school caters to a broad range of interests, with disciplines including show jumping, cross country, mounted games, showing, working hunter, flatwork and trekking. Hack rides and horse holidays are available for those wanting to experience the surrounding bridle paths, while an active Pony Club Centre provides regular activities for younger riders. Competitions are held at the centre, giving pupils a chance to put their training into practice.
Facilities include an indoor arena measuring 40m by 20m and an outdoor arena of the same size, both of which are floodlit for year-round use. A showjumping and cross-country course sits within the grounds, alongside paddocks, stables and a spectator gallery. An on-site holiday cottage offers accommodation for those visiting for horse holidays or extended stays.
Livery is offered on DIY, part and grass bases to suit different routines. The centre is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:30, with adjusted closing times during summer and winter months and a Monday closure from 13:00 during term time. The centre is closed on Sundays. Rheidol Riding Centre is located at SY23 4EL, and enquiries can be made by contacting the centre directly.
