Bryngwyn Riding Centre is a family-run BHS approved establishment that has been operating on the Powys and Herefordshire border since 1975. Set within 800 acres of open moorland, the centre provides a broad range of riding activities alongside full livery services. Lessons, group and private hacks, lead rein hacks and pony experiences are available, with a starting price of GBP 15 for a 20 minute Mounted Mini's ride for under 5s.
The centre teaches riders of all ages and abilities, including beginners and children. Instructors deliver standard riding lessons alongside structured programmes such as Pony Stars, Pony Mornings, BHS Challenge Awards and the BHS Changing Lives Through Horses initiative. The centre is affiliated with the Riding for the Disabled Association and hosts regular RDA sessions. Mounted Mini's pony rides are also offered for younger children.
Riders can make use of both a covered arena and a 25 by 50 metre floodlit outdoor school equipped with show jumps, with show jumping and hacking listed as the main disciplines. A jumping paddock is open during the summer months, and the stable yard includes a secure tack room and horse walker for liveries. Lorry and trailer parking is available on site. Hacking takes in the surrounding moorland, offering extensive off-road riding straight from the yard.
The centre holds BHS approved status, runs the BHS Changing Lives Through Horses accredited programme and is affiliated with the Riding for the Disabled Association. It is open every day except Tuesday and Sunday, making weekday and Saturday visits straightforward to plan. The postcode for sat nav users is HR5 3QN. Further details on lesson bookings, hack availability and livery enquiries can be obtained by contacting the centre directly.
