Park Lane Stables RDA

Teddington, Richmond upon Thames

Park Lane Stables RDA operates as a registered charity and Riding for the Disabled Association centre in Teddington, within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The centre works with people who have disabilities or additional needs, delivering assisted riding sessions alongside horse care activities, carriage driving and structured equine therapy programmes.

Disciplines on site include dressage, hacking, lead rein lessons and hippotherapy, giving riders a range of options depending on their goals and abilities. Children are taught at the yard, and younger participants can join the Pony Club centre affiliated with the stables. Carriage driving is available for those whose needs are better suited to working with the horse from the ground rather than in the saddle.

The setting is deliberately welcoming, with accessible facilities for disabled riders and parking available for visitors arriving by car. Beyond the core riding sessions, the charity runs cuddle pony visits, therapy dog visits and volunteer opportunities, recognising the broader benefits of spending time around horses and animals. Sessions are led by a BHS Approved Coach and a UKCC-qualified instructor who also holds the Pony Club coach qualification.

Park Lane Stables RDA is licensed by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2022. The centre sits at TW11 0HY in Teddington and welcomes enquiries from riders, families, schools and groups. Those interested in lessons, therapy sessions or volunteering are encouraged to contact the centre directly to discuss availability and the most suitable programme for their circumstances.
