Pant Wilkin Stables

Aberthin, Vale of Glamorgan

Pant Wilkin Stables operates from Aberthin in the Vale of Glamorgan and provides a wide range of equestrian activities under BHS and ABRS approval. Riders can take lessons across dressage, show jumping, flatwork and pole work, with hacking and trekking also available on off road routes from the yard. The school welcomes beginners and teaches from the age of five upwards, making it accessible to younger riders as well as adult novices returning to the saddle.

Children and teenagers can join the on site Pony Club, and the school runs holiday camps during school breaks. Disciplines on offer include dressage, flatwork, show jumping and pole work, alongside hacking and trekking for those who prefer to spend time out on the trails. Riding is supported by rider assessments, which give pupils a clear sense of their progress, and gift vouchers are available for those looking to give lessons as a present.

Facilities at the yard include a 25m by 50m indoor arena, two outdoor all weather arenas measuring 30m by 40m and 30m by 60m, a round pen and a horse walker. Stabling is provided for liveries, the perimeter is secure and CCTV is in operation throughout the site. Off road hacking is available directly from the property, and horse transport can be arranged through the school.

Livery packages are offered alongside lessons and hacking, and the yard hosts regular show jumping and dressage competitions, with facility hire also available for outside events. A 30 minute walkabout is priced from GBP 25, and group or private lessons are arranged by appointment. Pant Wilkin Stables is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 6pm and on weekends from 10am to 5pm. The postcode for sat nav users is CF71 7GX.
