Palace Farm

Hereford, Herefordshire, County of

BHS approved

Set across 40 acres of farmland in the village of St Weonards near Hereford, Palace Farm operates as a specialist grazing yard rather than a traditional riding school. The site is dedicated to the care of horses that are retired, resting between competition seasons or working through a period of rehabilitation, with full grazing livery forming the core of the business.

Several livery packages are available to suit different needs. Retirement livery covers horses coming to the end of their working lives, while rest and recuperation livery suits animals needing a break from regular work. A dedicated laminitis care option is offered for horses prone to the condition, and a rehabilitation livery package supports horses recovering from injury or illness. The farm also has stabling available for horses that require box rest or more managed care as part of their recovery.

The grazing is divided into paddocks enclosed by post and rail fencing, with field shelters providing protection from the weather. Webcams have been installed on some of the fields so that owners can keep an eye on their horses remotely. The rural setting gives the horses access to open countryside on the edge of the West Midlands, with Hereford and the surrounding market towns within easy reach.

Alongside the equestrian side of the business, Palace Farm runs self-catering holiday accommodation in a farmhouse, a bungalow and a studio flat, offering visitors a base from which to explore Herefordshire. Palace Farm is listed on the British Horse Society approved register. Enquiries about livery or holiday bookings can be directed to the farm at HR2 8PL.
