Manchester Equestrian Centre operates as a BHS Approved riding and livery yard from its base in Urmston, within the Trafford area of Greater Manchester. Tuition is open to riders aged four and upwards, with the school accepting complete beginners through to advanced riders. Group and individual riding lessons form the core of what is on offer, with hacking and show jumping listed as the main disciplines taught on site.
Two arenas give the centre year-round capacity: a sizeable indoor school for wet weather and evening sessions, and a separate outdoor arena used during the warmer months. Both are surfaced as all-weather arenas, so lessons continue regardless of the season. Riders looking to take their education out of the school have access to local bridleways for hacking, and show jumping is taught to those ready to work over fences.
The Urmston site also handles the full range of services you would expect from an established equestrian centre. Full livery and working livery packages are available for owners, and the centre runs horse sales and dedicated horse care days during school holidays. Children's pony parties take place in an on-site party room, with prices starting at GBP 25 per person and rising to around GBP 40 depending on group size and the activities chosen. BHS approval reassures parents and adult riders that the centre meets the British Horse Society's standards for welfare, teaching and facilities.
Manchester Equestrian Centre is located on the M41 9WL postcode in Trafford. Opening hours run from Tuesday to Sunday: Tuesday and Wednesday 3pm to 8:30pm, Thursday and Friday from midday to 8:30pm, and both Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm. The centre is closed on Mondays. Contact details and booking information can be obtained direct from the centre, and lesson prices are confirmed on enquiry rather than listed in advance.
