Lessans Livery Services Ltd

Lessans Livery Services Ltd runs a BHS Approved livery yard and equestrian centre on the outskirts of Ballynahinch in County Down, Northern Ireland. The centre no longer operates a riding school for non-horse owners. All clients are expected to bring their own horse or pony to access the services on site, including instruction, training, livery and competition support.

Lessons are available for adults and children, with teaching tailored to complete beginners through to more established riders. Semi-private jumping sessions start from GBP 20 per half-hour and the centre also runs private individual lessons, private small group lessons and livery lessons, where coaching is built into the horse's routine. Schooling cover includes dressage, show jumping, working hunter, cross country and hacking, and guest instructors visit the yard to widen the training options. Children's holiday provision includes a kids summer camp and an adult equestrian camp, alongside birthday parties and seasonal activities.

The facilities support year-round riding. There is an indoor arena with a viewing gallery, a floodlit outdoor arena, a lunge pen and a cross-country course with show jumps. Horses are looked after with all-weather turnout, grass turnout, a hot water wash bay and a horse solarium. Riders and spectators can use the cafe, the outdoor viewing box and on-site parking. The centre also hosts shows, derbies, gymkhanas and charity events, and takes facility hire bookings for those wanting to use the arenas or course independently.

Lessans holds BHS Approved status and is listed on the British Horse Society approved register, with the livery yard also recognised as BHS Highly Commended. The postcode is BT24 7EU. Enquiries about livery, lessons, camps or facility hire can be made directly through the centre.
