Inadown Farm Livery Stables is a British Horse Society approved riding school and livery yard based in Newton Valence, Hampshire, just outside Alton. Set within the South East of England, the yard is run as both a Where to Train centre and a Pony Club centre, offering structured BHS training and exams for riders working through the society's qualification pathway. Group and private lessons are available throughout the week, with teaching open to beginners as well as more experienced riders and children.
Lessons cover a broad mix of disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, cross country, horseball and hacking out on the surrounding lanes and bridleways. Competitions are hosted at the yard, and school holiday activities are put on for children during the Easter and summer breaks. The venue is accessible and provides a welcoming setting for riders taking their first lessons as well as those returning to the sport or working towards Pony Club achievements.
Facilities include a 20 by 60 metre indoor school with a viewing area, a 30 by 45 metre outdoor school, an outdoor lunge pen and a cross country course of arena jumps. Stabling is arranged in indoor stable blocks, with a separate isolation block, rug dryers, a solarium, dressage boards and a lecture room on site. The yard sits within over 100 acres of grazing, giving ample turnout for the liveries kept there.
A full livery service runs alongside the riding school, with the office open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 2pm. Lessons take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Friday afternoons, and across weekends. The postcode for satellite navigation is GU34 3RR, and visitors are asked to contact the yard ahead of arrival to confirm lesson times and availability.
