Hobby Horse Equestrian operates from Elmesthorpe in Leicestershire and runs as a British Horse Society approved 5 star livery yard. Coaching is delivered by a BHS qualified instructor who works with riders across all levels, from complete beginners through to more established competitors. Lessons are offered in both group and semi private formats, with on site coaching available throughout the week. The yard also runs clinics for riders wanting focused training in a particular discipline.
Riders at the school can choose from dressage, show jumping, cross country and hacking, with the outdoor and show jumping arenas giving plenty of space to practise flatwork and jumping. Hacking is available directly from the yard, and a floodlit arena extends riding hours later into the evening. The school is accessible and welcomes children, making it a practical choice for families looking for a first introduction to riding. A Pony Club affiliation also gives younger riders a structured pathway through their equestrian education.
Alongside lessons, Hobby Horse Equestrian provides full and part livery packages. Facilities include CCTV monitored stabling, a horse walker, a changing room and a coffee and rest area where parents and guardians can wait between sessions. A car park is available on site for visitors. The combination of livery and instruction on one site means liveries have regular access to coaching without needing to travel elsewhere.
The school holds several instructor accreditations alongside its BHS Approved status, including BHSAI, BHSIT, PCAT, RDAGI and UKCC Level 2, giving assurance that staff hold recognised teaching qualifications. Hobby Horse Equestrian is based in Elmesthorpe, Leicestershire, postcode LE9 7SA, and enquiries about lessons, livery or clinics can be made by contacting the yard directly.
