Downlands Equestrian

Warminster, Wiltshire

BHS approved

Downlands Equestrian is a BHS-approved livery yard and equestrian facility set in the Wylye Valley near Warminster, Wiltshire. The site combines livery services with a busy teaching programme, offering instruction to children alongside schooling opportunities for horse owners. Coaches hold British Horse Society qualifications and teach across dressage, show jumping, eventing, cross country and hacking.

Lessons and clinics take place in a floodlit indoor arena and a floodlit outdoor arena, allowing training to continue through short winter days. A combined training field sits alongside a dedicated cross-country schooling field with a course of portable fences suitable for different levels of experience. Riders and liveries also benefit from direct access to bridleway hacking, so both schooling sessions and pleasure rides are on the doorstep.

Livery clients can choose from DIY, part, assisted and full livery, with holiday livery available for shorter stays. Yard facilities include a horse walker, solarium, hot wash bay, secure storage and on-site cameras. Lorry and trailer parking is provided for those bringing horses in for schooling, clinics or events, and the combined training field can be hired separately from lessons.

The opening hours run from Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5pm, and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays, covering the office and main yard. Downlands Equestrian is located at postcode BA12 7AB in Warminster, and holds a verified listing on the British Horse Society approved register. Enquiries about lessons, livery or facility hire can be made directly through the yard during the published office hours.
